Step   1.

To use this cream, begin by cleansing the affected area with soap and water. Ensure that the skin is completely dry (avoid using any products containing alcohol). Then, apply a generous amount of the numbing cream to the area and gently massage it in for the first layer. For the second layer, apply a thick amount of cream without rubbing it in. Allow it to sit on top of the first layer.

Step    2.

Next, cover the area with plastic wrap (such as Saran or Glad) for 1-2 hours. The heat trapped under the plastic wrap helps activate the cream and prevents it from drying out.

Step    3.

Periodically check the area by poking or pinching it. If you do not feel any sensation, remove the plastic wrap and wipe off the excess cream with a clean cloth or gauze. Avoid washing it with water or using wipes containing alcohol.
